New Shows & Sure Bets Reaching All Generations

During 2018 launch trade shows held in Montreal, Quebec City and Toronto, Quebecor unveiled its multiplatform offering, focusing on creative and innovative opportunities for advertisers who want to stand out on TV, as well as in digital media, newspapers, magazines, out-of-home and events. Our sales team gave detailed presentations on the captivating programs coming up on TVA and its specialty channels, i.e. TVA Sports, LCN, MOI ET CIE, CASA, addikTV, prise 2 and Yoopa.

TVA is offering advertisers a rich fall schedule. Once again, the TVA Network will be the place to go for must-see TV, with promising new shows set to attract large audiences in search of quality content. “We’re very excited about this line-up,” says Donald Lizotte, Executive Vice President, Advertising Sales, Quebecor. “On a concrete level for advertisers and brands, it translates to a multitude of opportunities to deploy creative campaigns aimed at sought-after audiences. With fictional series, major variety shows and reality shows, TVA productions create an ideal environment to reach passionate viewers.”

Live Viewership and Young Audiences Are Part of the Mix

According to the 2018 Ipsos-Infopresse index , TVA is the most influential station in the media industry, thanks to its impact on millennial and Generation Z audiences – confirming that young people are still watching TV in large numbers. “As a matter of fact, TVA reaches 21.2% of adults 18-49, vs. 14.7% for Radio-Canada and 6.5% for V Télé ”, adds Donald Lizotte, pointing out that TVA also remains an exceptional venue to bring Quebecers together, since 89% of the station’s viewership happens live .

New Shows to Fascinate an Entire Province

XOXO is the highly-anticipated new reality series set to make waves this fall. For 11 weeks, 18 bachelors and bachelorettes get to live the glamourous life, just like the world’s biggest stars. Our contestants will be guided along by three advisors, who’ll have carte blanche to organize lots of VIP activities and events in order to play matchmaker for Quebec’s most talked-about couple.

These XOXO advisors – Olivier Primeau, owner of the famous Beachclub, Cary Tauben, stylist and friend to the stars, and Elisabetta Fantone, one of today’s hottest painters – were chosen for their unique personalities, their extravagance and their powers of persuasion. Their impressive network of contacts will open doors to the most prestigious venues.

The winning couple on XOXO will take home $100,000 in cash and enjoy VIP access to the world’s most sought-after events, including the Coachella Festival in Palm Springs, Tomorrowland in Belgium and the Ultra Music Festival in Miami. Our winners will also get the keys to a luxury condo in the Miami area for one year.

The spectacular new variety show Révolution will be the biggest TV dance competition in Quebec. With teen idol Sarah-Jeanne Labrosse as its muse, this original concept will feature French urban dance sensations Les Twins as competition masters, as well as renowned choreographers Lydia Bouchard and Jean-Marc Généreux.

Over 3,000 local dancers of all ages, performing in all genres, auditioned last winter in the hopes of competing on this exceptional show, for a chance to win the $100,000 grand prize. Révolution is already poised to be this fall’s TV sensation.

For music lovers, Tout le monde aime highlights the incomparable journeys of some of our most popular singers. It’s a wonderful gift for artists to offer themselves, and to share with their fans. Contrary to traditional roasts and tributes, this unique celebration is orchestrated with the stars’ collaboration. Passionate, engaging, accessible and with a career that spans 10,000 interviews, Sonia Benezra will take the reins of these memorable evenings, leveraging her in-depth knowledge of music and show business.

Le jeu is a thriller that shines a light on the growing social issue of online bullying.

Starring Laurence Lebœuf and Éric Bruneau, the series tells the story of Marianne, a rising star in the highly competitive world of video-game design, who must confront online trolls after they launch a campaign to harass and denigrate her. This young, creative, spirited and combative woman is trying to make it in a highly competitive industry where women face an uphill battle to succeed. Approaching her thirties, she decides to develop her own game in a major Montreal studio where her boyfriend, Julien, also works.

This emotionally-charged series deals with a social problem that has yet to be fully explored in fiction. The suspense will have our heroine – and our viewers – on edge, with a topic that’s sure to provoke heated debate. Catch it this fall!
